602

Mississippi Power’s stipulation has brought together key parties – including the Public Utilities Staff, Chevron, Chemours, FEA, Greenleaf and Wal-Mart – to fulfill the Public Service Commission’s stated objective of resolving all remaining matters associated with the Kemper County energy facility.

The agreement, which represents meaningful compromise and follows the Commission’s guidelines, includes:

– The removal of risk to our customers for the gasifier and related assets.
– No customer rate increase related to Kemper.
– Operation of Kemper as a natural gas facility.

The company appreciates all parties involved in this process and looks forward to a final decision from the Commission on Kemper.
