Mississippi Power recently was recognized by the NAACP Biloxi chapter with the Wilmer McDaniel Award at the organization’s annual Freedom Fund banquet.

The honor goes to the business or corporation “doing the most to uplift the community” and for their leadership and positive impact in South Mississippi.

“The company was well received at the Freedom Fund banquet,” said Community Development representative Frank Magee. “We were highlighted for the strong partnership we have with the Biloxi NAACP branch and the great strides we’ve made in recent years listening to the concerns of the community and addressing issues when possible.”

The event was held at the IP Casino Resort.
