Life is busy and customers are on the go. To help, Mississippi Power has launched a new app that makes it even easier for customers to manage their account anytime and anywhere from smartphones and tablets.
In addition to reporting and checking the status of an outage, the new app allows customers to do the following:
- Check their balance.
- Make payments.
- Make a payment arrangement.
- View monthly energy usage.
- Find a local office.
The Mississippi Power app is available on the App Store for iPhones and iPads or on the Google Play Store for Android devices.
“Nearly two-thirds of Americans are now smartphone owners, and many of them rely on these devices as their only source for getting online,” said Sonia McCollum, manager of Customer and Digital Communication. “Likewise, almost half of our online customers are using a mobile device – mainly smartphones – to access the Mississippi Power website. We need to continue to look for ways to make doing business with us as easy as possible for this customer base with tools and information like the app.”
Customers using the existing outage app will be asked to migrate to the new, more robust app.
