Mississippi Power crews safely arrived home Tuesday night after working several days in Texas to assist Oncor with its restoration efforts after major storms hit the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.

Preliminary numbers indicate more than 500,000 customers could have been affected by the severe weather.

“We greatly appreciate all of the help and hard work your crews accomplished,” said Jeff Dossey of Oncor Electric Delivery. “Most importantly, they did it safely.

“It’s great being a member of the SEE (Southeastern Electric Exchange) and knowing that we have a lot of partners to help out in times like these,” he added.
